The limits were right last year

Anyone planning on-track safety knows this. The request gets prefilled from the last job at the same control point. The limits were right then. Whether they fit this job is the check that slips when the due date is close.

One case on our Try page: an insulated joint defect, the request prefilled from last year's switch tie job. Yesper rejected the west limit, a signal inside the work location, and added the siding signal last year's job didn't need. The limits move out to the next control point and fit a window before the due date, Tuesday, Nov 17.

The limits are settled before the request goes in, not on the radio with the dispatcher. Same for the neighbouring jobs on the Try page: train-free windows for a track renewal, crew hours from granted work windows, a work plan for a culvert.
