What the IFC set changed without saying so

Anyone who priced a job off the bid set and then got the IFC set knows this. Not every change gets a revision cloud. The real ones hide in a schedule or enlarged plan, and you find out the week the casework goes out.

One case on our Try page: the bid set against the IFC set. Yesper found 18 differences, set the drafting-only ones aside and priced the verified: net about $130,000 in change order backup. One end wall went from siding to brick on the elevation only; the spec still says siding.

The CORs go out while the change is fresh, the RFIs go in now, not from the field, and the kitchen order holds. Same for the rest of the Try page: the change order potential in a bid package, a review protocol for a design package.
