Every quote on its own terms

No two vendor quotes are built alike. The rates take a minute to compare, the terms don't: whole periods with a minimum, delivery each way, a fuel surcharge with no base. Working that into every line takes a day, the week the bid goes in.

One case on our Try page: a bid estimate and the vendor quotes. Yesper priced every line on each vendor's terms: equipment from one and trucking from another came in $84,234 under the only vendor that quoted every line. The trucking surcharge has no stated basis; at 5.6% that edge is gone.

You decide the split buy on priced terms, before the bid goes in. The minimum and the surcharge show up in the comparison, not on the first invoice. Same for the rest of the Try page: a detailed estimate, an earthwork balance, coring unit prices.
