Checking existing roadbed against a standard plan sounds simple. But the plan has a clean dimension for new construction and a note for the existing case, and the first screening always takes the clean one. The estimate gets a widening list that's far too long.
One case on our Try page: a cable trough along the track. Yesper checked the shoulder break at every station and withdrew its first screening, 6,080 ft flagged from centerline: existing roadbed with a trough is measured from the trough's outside face. That leaves 2,270 ft too narrow, the stretches at the signals included.
You know what to widen before the quantities reach the estimate, and what only shows measured from the trough is on the list from the start. Same for the rest of the Try page: a culvert work plan, catenary masts as an IFC model, train-free windows in the timetable.

Yesper is the AI civil engineer for construction and infrastructure. AFRY, COWI, NRC Group and other Nordic firms use it to halve the time on a study, rerun calculations in minutes, and catch errors that would otherwise slip through. Get in touch if you'd like to see what it can do for you.
