Anyone who has closed out a planting job knows this. Drawing, plant schedule and delivery tickets never agree. A block sits twice in the DWG, a species never ships. Nobody has time to count by hand, so it shows up once the beds are mulched.
One case on our Try page: a streetscape, planting nearly done. Yesper counted the shrubs in the DWG against the schedule and the deliveries, species by species. Two species had never shipped and weren't on backorder. And 12 spirea blocks sat doubled in the drawing, so a takeoff from it ran high.
The nursery order gets sorted while the crew is still there, not at the final inspection. The doubled blocks leave the drawing before anyone prices from it. Same for the rest of the Try page: a balcony count from the drawings, redline as-builts, quantities from an IFC model.
