Every old site has a stack of lab reports. Scans, no text layer, one lab on wet weight, the next on dry. Someone types them in during a spare hour, and from then on they're trusted. Nobody reads the stack twice.
One case on our Try page: old soil lab reports, scanned. Yesper read every result into the master file, then had them read again, independently. That corrected 38 results, one of them lead well above the nonresidential criterion. One year's results were as received; on a dry basis, 12 arsenic results cross the residential criterion.
You know what the old data is worth before the risk assessment is built on it, and every result names its page. Same for any stack of scans, and the rest of the Try page: soil borings as an IFC model, CPT and probe data from PDF, an earthwork balance with contaminated soil.
