We're pricing the 2027 tie program on the Kestrel Subdivision, MP 112.40 to 123.55. Using the tie inspection, our estimating rates and the work window plan, build a parametric estimate that works out ties, OTM, ballast, scrap ties, man-hours and the number of windows from tie counts, overage, window length and gang size, with cost per tie and ties per track hour. Also show which inputs move the cost per tie the most.
Thinking…
7-hour windows bring the cost down to $259 per tie. The eighth laborer adds no production.
