Summary
Source check
The underground quote does not foot to its own total
Brakefield’s line extensions add up to $3,583,900.00, but the quote total is $3,603,900.00. The $20,000.00 sits in bid item 0700, 8 in. PVC C900 water line: 6,860 LF × $112.00 is $768,320.00, while the quote shows $748,320.00 (p. 1).
None of the quote’s 19 unit prices are entered until Brakefield confirms which figure stands.
Units
The paving quote is per SY, the bid schedule pays AC by the ton
Item numbers and descriptions match on all four asphaltic concrete items, but entered as-is the prices would come to $28,668.00 instead of the quote’s $180,054.00. At 110 lb per SY per inch, the 2 in. path surface course works out to $134.55 per ton. The estimate prices aggregate base item 0400 by the ton against a CY pay item the same way.
Enter after Kittredge confirms the conversion to tons.
Addendum
11 items have no price, 9 of them added by Addendum No. 2
The estimate and the quotes were built on the original bid schedule. None of the 9 items Addendum No. 2 added on Oct 22 appear in any PDF, and the 11 quantities it revised differ from the sources and are highlighted. Relocate light pole (0110) and decomposed granite shoulder (0460) were in the original schedule and are missing too.
Request pricing for the addendum items and confirm the revised quantities with each sub.
Matching and transfer by bid item
Check the sources first, then filter by status or source and click an item to see the PDF excerpt and what the match is based on. The bid schedule view shows the schedule before and after the unit prices are entered.
Source check before transfer
Each line is recomputed as quantity × unit price, and the extensions are added up against the source’s own total. Click a source to filter.

Method
Price lines were read from the PDF text: line, bid item, description, unit, quantity, unit price and extension, plus each source’s total.
Footing check before transfer: quantity × unit price was compared with the extension on every line (±$1 accepted for rounding), and the extensions were added up against the total. A source that does not foot is not entered.
Each bid item was matched to the price lines on item number, description, unit and quantity. Where the source has no item numbers, as in the lighting quote, description, unit and quantity were used.
Status is matched when item, description, unit and quantity agree, quantity differs when only the quantity differs (the unit price is entered and the quantity highlighted), unit mismatch when the unit differs (not entered) and no match when no price line fits (flagged for pricing).
Unit prices were entered in the unit price column of the bid schedule and each amount computed as bid quantity × unit price. The sum of the amounts was checked against the sum of quantity × unit price.
Assumptions and limitations
Quantities are compared with the schedule as revised by Addendum No. 2. The estimate and quotes use the original quantities.
Unit prices are assumed to hold at the revised quantities. Confirm with each sub where a quantity changed.
Item numbers are the City’s bid schedule numbers, not ADOT pay item numbers (ADOT's published pay item lists use seven-digit numbers that begin with the specification section). Water and sewer items follow the City’s utility standards.
Suggested conversions assume 110 lb per SY per inch of compacted asphaltic concrete and use the estimate’s 1.95 tons per CY of aggregate base, with TON as a 2,000 lb short ton. They are shown for review only, and the densities should be confirmed with the asphalt and aggregate suppliers.
Structural excavation and CLSM bedding are separate pay items in the City's schedule. This split has not been checked against ADOT's 2021 pay item list; the estimator should confirm it with the City.
No quantities, descriptions or formulas in the bid schedule are changed. Only the unit price column is filled in.
