Method
Every diary page was read, and entries on extra or changed work, stops and waiting, and instructions from the client’s side were picked out.
Entries about the same event were grouped into one item, classified as ÄTA, impediment or acceleration, and kept as verbatim quotes with file, date and page.
Crews, machines and hours per day were taken from the diary’s staffing lines for each item’s days and priced with the AFC.611 à-price list: standstill at 60% for machines, overtime and weekend work at +50% for labour.
Each item was matched against the ÄTA log by date, place and description.
Every pair of items with a shared diary day was compared. Where both claim the same crew or machine, the combined hours were compared with the hours worked in the diary that day, and the excess was valued at the base à-price.
Assumptions and limits
Amounts cover labour and machines only. Material, landfill fees and subcontractor invoices are added from invoices.
A diary day is 8 hours per crew and machine, and 11 hours for crew A and GM1 during the extended hours 31 August–11 September.
The classification and the AB 04 references are a starting point for the claim, not a legal assessment. Whether the rainfall on 10–11 August was unusual for the site needs to be checked against weather data.
Diaries for April and October are not included. ÄTA-01 and ÄTA-02 concern April.
